Hi,
Currently we are running a shared website hosted by polur.net and have been happy with the service. However we need to expand on our functionality greatly. In reading your various plans, I wanted to know how the following things can be accomplished (if at all):

<1> Adding a Wiki or even replacing our main webpage with a wiki style layout.
<2> Adding online payment method via PayPal and Credit Card.
<3> Adding a forum
<4> Creating a master calendar
<5> Ability for people to update pages without going through webmaster (i.e. wiki)
etc.

Basically we are trying to accomplish some of the following things here:
* Make the website update'able by non-html coders (i.e. wiki coders)
* Have a master calendar (like what is supplied by wiki's) to have all of our events.
* The ability for people to create projects tasks and groups (work committes, pleas for help).
* Disseminate information quickly
* Pay donate to the club.

Can I have a plan or an idea of how this could be accomplished ? Please get back to me ASAP if possible. Thanks for your time in advance..
-Mitch

Hi Mitch,

All of the above can easily be accomplished with any of our shared or reseller plans.

1, 5) You can install something like MediaWiki, which is basically what wikipedia.org uses as a backend. Check out other PHP-based wiki software at http://en.wikipedia....f_wiki_software

2) For your e-commerce needs, this depends on the shopping cart or script you are using. Or, if using PayPal, they already offer instructions to integrate payments as a link/button. We fully support integration with e-commerce gateways, and most scripts offer a variety of merchant gateways to choose from. If processing credit cards directly on your site, you will need a SSL certificate from us (but not if you use a third-party gateway such as PayPal, 2Checkout or Google Checkout)

3) You can install forum software such as phpBB, SMF, vBulletin or IPB, just as we have on our site. In fact, our control panel offers an easy way to install these types of software... see "Fantastico" option for more details.

4) Again, you just need the right script to accomplish this. See http://www.hotscript...rams/calendars/ for ideas

Hope this helps! Best of luck :)

Thank you for responding. I guess I'm not completely sure how to proceed, do I have to upgrade my service then move on to adding Wiki etc ?

No, you can install the wiki on any package, you don't need to upgrade unless you run out of space or bandwidth
